Moving Out and Moving in With Little Kids Along

moving-outSelling your home and moving in a new one can be a stressful time for a family, especially if you’ve got little ones in tow. For all the mom’s out there, here are a few tips on how to get through this new, adventurous and yes, exhausting “move out and move in” while still being able to squeeze in some relaxation and even a dose of laughter.

  • After receiving calls from buyers who wish to view your home, allow yourself ample time to tidy up. After all, having little kids can also mean having a jungle of toys on the floor and a scattering of crayons on the dinner table.
  • Give your little angels nap time as you do last minute touch ups on your home while waiting for home buyers.
  • Once the home is as good as sold, get ready to do some packing! You’ve got a whole house to move!
  • Explain to your kids that you are moving and that ALL the toys are coming with you. Making you reconsider your plans of getting rid of the junky toys.
  • Sit down, relax and drink a glass of lemonade.
  • Laugh at the stress of it all before you do some more packing.
