Rehabilitated Home Being Sold in Framingham

The town of Framingham – under its Neighborhood Stabilization Program – has bought and proceeded to renovate a home near the downtown area of Butterworth Park. And the good news is that the town has now found a buyer for the said home.

Chris Mahoney, the Framingham real estate agent who was in charge of selling the home, was able to find a buyer for the home in a relatively quick manner after he took over its sale just this fall. Mahoney took over from Harvard-based Maureen O’ Hagan. She was responsible last February for offering the home through lottery for the first time.

The deal for selling the home for a total amount of about $240,000.00 is expected to be closed on Friday. About $15,000.00 in subsidy would be lessened from the total amount of the sale of the four-bedroom colonial home located at 204 Arthur St., in hopes of encouraging the new homeowner to actually put down toots there in the town.
